KCEOC is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Shelter Operations Maintenance/Security Worker. The purpose of the announcement is to find individuals willing to serve as call-in staff, with the understanding there will not be a regular schedule for them to maintain. The position will be located at KCEOC’s homeless shelter. The individual will be responsible for ensuring client needs are met while staying at the shelter and will assist in the day to day upkeep of the shelter.
COVID-19 Requirements: During the current pandemic, all Shelter Operations Maintenance/Security Worker’s are required to wear disposable vinyl gloves and a cloth, fabric styled surgical mask while serving our clients. All Shelter Operations Maintenance/Security Worker’s must practice social distancing, staying at least 6 feet away from clients. Shelter Operations Maintenance/Security Worker’s must wash their hands, use hot water and soap and practice healthy hygiene habits. Shelter Operations Maintenance/Security Worker’s must be willing to have their temperature taken daily.
A High School graduate/equivalent with two years experience working in human services/equivalent is required. Computer skills are also required. Applicants must also be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
