We’re just a group of ladies that enjoy quilting and each other, but what we “do” is charity work,” said RBTQG Rep Cathy Butler. “We like that we are keeping a piece of Appalachian heritage alive, we like that we are embracing a fading art, but we LOVE giving a person in need of kindness a personal piece that was made just for them, something that truly belongs to them no matter where they go, and to gift them with something that was made with love. The Red Bud Trail Quilting Guild provides heirloom quilts to many non-profit agencies, including KCEOC, Bluegrass Care Navigators, Camp, Courageous, Knox Cancer Fund, and the 4H Club. We just want to do our part to make the community a better, kinder, and more loving place.”
The Red Bud Trail Quilting Guild meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Knox Co. Extension Office at 10 a.m. Anyone who has an interest in quilting is welcome to attend. Call 606-546-3447 for more information.

KESC has onsite case management that provides connection to community resources, employment services, life skills like budgeting, and other supportive services to be able to successfully live independently after the shelter.
