KCEOC has been awarded funding for the 2021 HOME Homebuyer Development Award. HOME Investment Program funds will be used to construct three homes in Knox County. Funding is made possible by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Kentucky Housing Corporation.
Created by Congress in 1990, the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) provides funding to sub recipients, like KCEOC. The purpose of the HOME Program is to expand the supply of quality, affordable housing for low-income (at or below 80 percent of area median income) and very-low income (at or below 50 percent of area median income) households. The HOME Program can be utilized to expand the supply of decent, safe, and sanitary housing through either new construction or rehabilitation of existing structures with forgivable, deferred grants. KCEOC is utilizing the funds to construct three new homes for three new home buyers in Knox County.
Families are encouraged to apply by contacting Beverly Isom at 606-546-3152 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
