Home Based Specialist

KCEOC Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Home Based Specialist in Knox county.
The Home Based Specialist is responsible for the supervision and coordination of KCEOC's Child Development home based option, assuring this option meets the Head Start Performance Standards, and that all other applicable rules, codes and regulations are in compliance. Monitor socialization events and home visits.
Conduct routine file checks
Assist in development of the annual Training and Technical Assistance Plan
Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities
Have an understanding of the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework
Develop, update, and maintain written procedures and ensure their application pertinent to the Child Development education services.
Will provide adequate support to home based staff, ensuring Head Start Program comprehensive services are being offered and completed satisfactorily, completing staff evaluations; initiating appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
Maintain C.L.A.S.S. certification
Conduct observations on home-based staff twice a year. Assist with observations of classroom staff.
Represent the agency on inter-agency committees.
Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood or Social Work and or a comparable equivalent of secondary education and two years work experience.
