Jobsight (WIOA)
Our Kentucky Career Center Jobsight helps people find jobs and upgrade their skills to qualify for better jobs. Jobsight services adults looking for work, workers of any age who have been dislocated from their jobs through closings or layoffs, and economically disadvantaged young people who need help to get education, training, and a good start into the working world. KCEOC is the area job sight link for employees looking for employment and employers looking for qualified employees.
Programs include:
Opportunity Youth Program
Serves 18 - 24 year olds who are not attending school and have a past criminal record or other barrier to employment.
Participants are assisted with career planning, obtaining employment and/or training opportunities.
Must meet federal guidelines. Paid services based on funding available. Contact WIOA office to help determine eligibility.
Dislocated Worker Program
Serves those who are age 18 or older who have been laid off and are eligible to receive Unemployment Insurance benefits.
Participants are assisted with career planning, employment services, job searching, tuition assistance for training, and supportive services (supplies/uniforms required for training or employment).
Must meet federal guidelines. Paid services based on funding available. Contact WIOA office to help determine eligibility.
Mining Program
Serves those who are age 18 or older who have been laid off from a Mining position and are eligible to receive Unemployment Insurance benefits.
Participants are assisted with career planning, employment services, job searching, tuition assistance for training, and supportive services (supplies/uniforms required for training or employment).
Must meet federal guidelines. Paid services based on funding available. Contact WIOA office to help determine eligibility.
Adult Program
Serves those who are age 18 or older who are unemployed or are considered underemployed based on their wages.
Participants are assisted with career planning, employment services, job searching, tuition assistance for training, and supportive services (supplies/uniforms required for training or employment).
Must meet federal guidelines. Paid services based on funding available. Contact WIOA office to help determine eligibility.
Employer Services
Employer services is designed to assist area employers find and prepare workers to fit their needs. Services including on-the-job training, work experience, and job fairs. Our goal is to match up employers with qualified skilled workers.
Our KCEOC KY Career Center Jobsight is located at 464 Court Square in Barbourville, KY. For more information contact 606-546-2639.
Our Resource Room is available to anyone that needs to do internet job searches or use a computer to update a resume, etc. The Resource Room is available Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-- 5:00 p.m.
